This is my slapdash attempt to make an album in the dead middle ground between Bob Dylan's Christmas In The Heart and Jason Molina's Let Me Go, Let Me Go, Let Me Go' two records that I, along with maybe only two other people on the planet, consider to both be immortal masterpieces.
It was recorded in my San Diego living room on the 19th and 20th of November 2016, mostly in one big take on Saturday afternoon. It features one brief, quiet cameo from Taryn Popplewell. Thanks, Taryn!
This album is free for you to stream or download. However, if you choose to pay to download the album, all proceeds will go as a donation to Border Angels (www.borderangels.org
), a San Diego based volunteer based, non profit organisation that advocates for human rights, humane immigration reform, and social justice with a special focus on issues related to the US-Mexican border.
I have never heard The Cheeky Girls' Christmas song, but I'm sure it's lovely.
Apoligies to all parties involved in the creation of the original songs, and no offense is meant. Except to Cliff Richard.
